Founded on the 25th of February, 2003 Chamber of Food Engineers is still functioning under the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Architecture and Engineers Union.

Objectives of the Chamber
1. The main goal of Chamber of Food Engineers is to create an umbrella for all the practicing Food Engineers in Cyprus and to enable effective communication amongst them.
2. One of the main goals of establishing this chamber is, besides evaluating the improvements in the Food Industry sector to make sure that the profession of Food Engineering, a new concept to the country, be understood correctly and accepted well by the food sector in Cyprus
3. To draw attention to food, the most important element in our lives and to increase the public awareness on the consumption of safe and high quality food
4. To do the necessary research in order to help the country and the public to run the country’s natural resources, to increase the production and the quality, to help the food industry develop in an internationally recognized way
5. To take the necessary actions to protect the profession, member and member rights
6. To take the right actions in the direction of forming and improving the profession of food engineering and related standards and norms and regulations
Chamber of Food Engineers is an NGO (non governmental organization) with above goals.
