About Chamber

In accordance with the decision established at the 1977 general assembly of the Chamber of Electrical Engineers, Meteorological Engineers have been represented under the framework of the former organization. Thereafter, having attained the number required to found a separate chamber, Meteorological Engineers have prepared a chamber constitution which they approved at the 1st General Assembly held on 19/8/1977.

Objectives of the Chamber

1. To increase professional knowledge and enhance occupational customs. To make active and effective efforts during the preparation of laws, regulations and codes within and related to the domain of Meteorological Engineering. To cooperate with corresponding governmental and educational institutions throughout these efforts and actions.

2. To regulate the application of the profession of Meteorological Engineering. To maintain solidarity among the members and take necessary measures to ensure the protection of the rights, the authority and the professional titles of the members.

3. To cooperate with public and private institutions which operate within the fields that require meteorological know-how. To offer the necessary help and suggestions.

4. To organize symposiums, seminars, panels, conferences and other events related to the various domains of meteorological engineering.

5. To use every means of the media to release scientific and professional information, opinions and arguments.

6. To organize or take part in professional activism in accordance with the goals of the chamber and under the authority of the law.

7. To cooperate with other chambers operating under the KTMMOB as well as with other professional institutions in accordance with the goals of the chamber and for the mutual benefit of both.

Number of Members

The Chamber of Meteorological Engineers currently has 16 members, 14 being active and 2 being natural members.
