Mr. Kudret Balcı, owner of Kantara Honey, proudly carries on with the family tradition of beekeeping, for four generations. The name “Balcı” means “honey maker” in Turkish.  The company takes pride in their family business, always striving for the highest quality products without sacrificing the traditional and natural methods. Ancestors of Mr. Balcı started using hand-made, traditional, earth bee-hives. The current owner, Mr. Kudret Balcı and his father modernized their beekeeping business to achieve the highest quality. Balcı family makes their own, natural, starter honey combs, free of any chemicals or artificial additives, especially naphthalene.  The leftover wax after extraction of honey is reused in making the start up combs.
